Golf Course
Golf at El Ganzo is just five minutes away at Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club, one of the most dramatic layouts on the Baja Peninsula. The club has 27 holes designed by two legends, Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman, arranged as three nines that combine into three distinct 18-hole rounds. Much of the course looks out over the Sea of Cortez, and its big elevation changes carry play from the desert foothills down to the shoreline. Comfort stations on every nine keep the tacos and margaritas close. After the round, guests can head back to the rooftop pool to watch the sun set over the marina.

Accommodation
El Ganzo has 69 rooms and suites: 60 ocean-facing rooms and 9 suites. Each one is designed as a blank canvas that puts the view first, with Mexican materials, poured-concrete floors, hand-hewn wood furnishings, and locally made rosemary bath products. Many rooms also feature original works by the hotel’s resident artists. The core rooms are about 380 sq ft and come in several styles:
-
- Ocean View rooms: sliding glass doors facing the water.
-
- Balcony rooms: king canopy beds and Juliet balconies.
-
- Terrace rooms: private terraces with rocking chairs and a daybed.
-
- Jacuzzi King rooms: an outdoor hydromassage tub overlooking the ocean.
For more space, the Master Suites add a separate living room. The Large Suites have double marble sinks and terraces that flow out from the living area. At the top end, the two-bedroom suites reach up to 3,900 sq ft, with a tiled outdoor Jacuzzi, a dining table that seats ten, and room for a ping-pong table.

Dining
The culinary program at El Ganzo is led by Chef José Luis Hinostroza. He trained in some of the world’s most celebrated kitchens, including Noma, Alinea, and El Celler de Can Roca, and founded the acclaimed ARCA in Tulum. His menus pair global technique with native Mexican ingredients as a tribute to Baja’s land and sea.
-
- El Restaurante: overlooks the marina and serves breakfast through dinner, blending traditional Mexican flavors with international techniques.
-
- The Rooftop: wraps around the infinity pool and its signature glass Jacuzzi, with drinks, light bites, and open-air music.
-
- The Beach Club: a “no shoes, no problem” spot for a casual lunch on the sand.
-
- In-room dining: available around the clock.

Activities
Art and music are the heartbeat of El Ganzo. Hidden beneath the lobby and reached through a trap door is The Underground, the hotel’s private recording studio. Artists such as Khruangbin, Anderson .Paak, and Kings of Convenience have recorded there. The property is also a living gallery, with more than 170 works by resident artists throughout the hotel. Most days bring something new, whether that’s live music by the firepit, DJ sets on the rooftop, or film nights at the Beach Club. The private beach is also one of the rare swimmable stretches of sand in Los Cabos, lined with cabanas and a full-service bar.

Exploration
Beyond the hotel, Los Cabos is easy to explore. The historic center of San José del Cabo is five minutes away, and its weekly Art Walk fills the streets with galleries and local artists. The Puerto Los Cabos marina next door is the starting point for sportfishing charters, sunset sails, and, in winter, whale-watching trips on the Sea of Cortez. Back at the hotel, the rooftop is the place to watch the boats come in as the sun goes down.

Spa and Wellness
The spa at El Ganzo draws on the flora of Baja and on ancient healing traditions. It includes an indoor/outdoor bathhouse, dry and wet saunas, and cold plunge pools, along with massages, natural body wraps, facials, and hydrotherapy. The signature treatment is the Prehispanic Session, a restorative experience rooted in Mayan massage. A changing wellness calendar adds morning yoga, sound and meditation sessions, cacao ceremonies, and moon gatherings. A fitness room overlooking the marina rounds out the offering.
