The story behind this charming winery began back in 2010, when a family set out to create something special. The Fullers—Dan, along with his children Dusty and Christy Fuller-Flyntz—established this winery with a commitment to quality wines made from local grapes, branching out to include grapes from other vineyards for additional variety.

In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the family sought creative ways to attract more visitors. The idea for a disc golf course was born, and thanks to a grant from the Kansas Tourism Department, their vision became a reality, offering a delightful diversion along with their acclaimed wines that have previously bagged multiple awards.

Bringing in New Faces

Since launching the disc golf initiative, the winery has seen a noticeable uptick in visitors, particularly males intrigued by the new outdoor activity. Many of these visitors, pleasantly surprised by the delicious array of wines available, are discovering a newfound appreciation for Kansas wines. With a selection of 22 varieties available for tasting in the cozy tasting room, there’s plenty to choose from, including refreshing beers and hard seltzers.

Snagging the title of one of the best in the world has certainly brought more attention to their unique offering, and the Fullers are excited about the future. They’re planning to host several events and tournaments at the disc golf course, including a special tournament sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association slated for May, promising to draw even more fans of the sport.
