A Star-Studded Line-Up

Golf lovers can look forward to an exciting mix of competitors this year, featuring top talent from the KLPGA Tour alongside 40 specially invited players representing countries all over Asia. Here’s a quick rundown of who you can expect on the greens:

  • The top 8 golfers from the Thai LPGA Tour Order of Merit

  • Two promising golfers each from countries such as India, Indonesia, the Philippines, China, Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Malaysia—that adds up to a total of 18 international players!
  • Three qualifiers from the National Qualifiers, which will include two Thai golfers and one international player.
  • Seven sponsor invitees that are sure to spice things up a bit!

Building on Last Year’s Success

The championship is set to build on the success of its inaugural event, which took place in March 2024. Last year’s standout performer, Lee Ye-won, clinched victory with an impressive score of 9-under-par 207, marking one of her three wins of the season. The buzz around this year is palpable, with organizers planning to elevate the experience even further.

Praphant Asava-aree, Chairman of the Blue Canyon Country Club, shared his excitement: “The 2024 tournament was one of the most exciting and vibrant golf events in Thailand, and we’re thrilled to continue hosting the KLPGA Tour. In 2025, we aim to elevate the experience, bringing in even more top-tier players from the Thai LPGA and leading female golfers from across Asia.”

He also added, “We’re expanding opportunities by introducing the National Qualifiers, which will allow Thai and international golfers to showcase their skills and gain invaluable experience on this grand stage.”

A Championship-Caliber Venue

The Blue Canyon Country Club is the perfect setting for this prestigious event, renowned for its stunning beauty and challenging design. Recently, the club received the title of Best Golf Course in Thailand at the 2024 World Golf Awards held in Madeira, Portugal—a remarkable achievement for the second time since 2022!

Adding to its impressive credentials, the club will also host the Annika Invitational Asia, an international women’s amateur golf tournament, in April 2025. All eyes will be on Blue Canyon as it aims to impress yet again.
