Yamas! – Golf Inspired’s Costa Navarino Event Recap
Costa Navarino is Europe’s Best Kept Secret
After returning from our 2025 signature event we’ve had time to reflect on the Mediterranean paradise that is Costa Navarino. It’s a destination with something for everyone, our group came from all over the country, and each found something for them. The food, the golf, the spa, the service, everything about Costa Navarino is designed to put you in a state of relaxation and exploration.
Our travelers returned home full of content and began to share their experience with there friends and family. Those conversations mimic the one’s we’ve had amongst ourselves, no one has heard about Costa Navarino.
If you’re the person in your group who likes to find the new restaurant, or recommend a new movie, come to Costa Navarino. Being able to say you know or have visited this corner of the world will be an all time call that you’ll be getting thanks for long after you return.
New Adventures in Our Oldest Cities

When traveling to Costa Navarino, Athens will likely be your starting point. Our group arrived from their flights and had a wonderful day of sightseeing. Being able to see the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the original Olympic stadium, is not something any traveler will forget.
Aside from the iconic landmarks, the streets of Athens are alive with a rhythm that has been playing for over 5000 years. we explored boutique stores, local artisans of fine goods, and of course iconic recipes that have stood the test of time. There’s nothing like a fresh lamb gyro after a day of sightseeing.
Weary from the Road? Wine will do.

The following morning we departed to Costa Navarino. Aboard the coach are travelers began to mingle and share excitement for the coming week. While the journey is a scenic tour of the Greek countryside, we felt it was best to break up the drive with a winery visit paired with lunch.
The Skouras winery, located about halfway between Athens and the west coast, is a wonderful testament to Greek culture with its 1000 barrel wine cellar and beautiful vineyard property. It is the mission of Golf Inspired to deliver experiences that excell above all else, in quality and authenticity. After sampling one of the best reds I’ve ever had, the Saint George Nemea, we enjoyed a refreshing and light lunch and got back on the road.
A Haven of Relaxation

From the moment we arrived at the Romanos, we knew coming to Costa Navarino was the right choice. The flowing white curtains of the lobby, the light piano music in the background, the awe inspiring view of the Ionian Sea, mix in a welcome cocktail reception, and we had an excellent start to the trip.
The Dunes – A Greek First

ur week of golf began at The Dunes, Greece’s very first signature course. Designed by Bernhard Langer, it set the tone for the days ahead, broad fairways bordered by olive groves, and mountain views that gave every swing a view worth remembering. For many of us, it was the perfect welcome: a course with prestige and playability in equal measure. Those not golfing that morning filled their day with spa treatments, seaside walks, or simply wandering the Romanos property, which never stopped surprising us with new corners to discover.
The Bay – Seaside Perfection

The Bay Course was next, and it proved to be as picturesque as any we’ve ever played. Robert Trent Jones II carved this course along the historic Bay of Navarino, and from the elevated tee boxes to the par fours hugging the shoreline, it was impossible not to pause and take in the view.
Our group was so enamored by the ocean views, we arranged for a spontaneous sunset cruise that evening! Aboard our private catamaran, we witnessed a spectacular sky over wine, light snacks, and music that scored the moment perfectly.

After the cruise, everyone was quite hungry. In good practice we followed the golden rule when you’re eating abroad, eat where the locals do. We were recommended to Kochili, a traditional Greek taverna that left us full and speechless. After selecting our Sea bass and Red Snapper ourselves we were amazed by several courses including fried zucchini, greek salad, mussels, and fried calamari.
The Olympic – Grandeur on the Hills

The International Olympic Academy Course was next, and it more than lived up to its name. Designed by José María Olazábal, the course overlooks Navarino Bay from the high hills above. Standing on the elevated tees with the sea shimmering in the distance, it was almost impossible to focus on golf, and for any golfer who didn’t play their best game, blaming it one the views is certainly and option.
The Hills – A Perfect Finale

Our final round was at The Hills Course, a true test of patience and precision. The rolling terrain, strategic design, and mountain backdrops gave the day a special sense of challenge. It was the kind of course that made you both think and feel—every hole requiring attention, every view rewarding the effort.
Athens, Full Circle
The following morning we returned to Athens for one final evening together. From the rooftop of the InterContinental, the Acropolis glowed against the night sky, a reminder of where our journey began, and how far it had taken us. Over one last dinner, we shared our favorite stories from the week, each of us taking a piece of Costa Navarino home.
