Las Vegas Brings Golf Stars Together for Epic Showdown
Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, is buzzing with excitement as a star-studded golf event is about to take place today! The city will host a remarkable exhibition match, dubbed the Crypto.com Showdown, featuring some of the biggest names in the sport: Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, and Bryson DeChambeau. The long-awaited showdown will unfold over 18 holes at the elite Shadow Creek Golf Club, which is famous not only for its beauty but also for having the highest green fee in the country, soaring over $1,000!
What’s the Big Deal?
The Line-Up
The lineup is nothing short of prestigious. Scheffler, a one-time PGA Tour Player of the Year after an incredible nine-win season, will join forces with McIlroy, who’s had an impressive year himself, winning four times and claiming his sixth DP World Tour Order of Merit title. Meanwhile, the LIV Golf League’s power-duo DeChambeau and Koepka, both Major winners since joining the tour, will be representing the newer circuit. Although they didn’t snatch the LIV Golf title this year, they definitely are stars in their own right!
How Will It All Go Down?
- Holes 1-6: Fourballs – each golfer plays their own ball, and the team takes the lower score for each hole.
- Holes 7-12: Foursomes – teams will share one ball, alternating shots until the ball is holed. One teammate will tee off on odd-numbered holes and the other on even.
- Holes 13-18: Singles – individual matchups that have yet to be announced. Fingers crossed for a McIlroy-DeChambeau face-off, reminiscent of their exhilarating US Open encounters!

Shadow Creek Golf Club is not only a highly coveted location known for its stunning layout, but it also has a prestigious past. It has previously hosted significant events like Nelly Korda’s T-Mobile Match Play victory and the iconic Woods vs. Mickelson match in 2018. Players will be navigating through creeks, ponds, and breathtaking mountain views, providing a beautiful backdrop to this thrilling contest.
