- No, you are responsible for booking your own flights.
- What airport should I fly into?
- Inverness (INV)
- Are airport transfers included?
- Yes, there will be group transfers based on arrival times from Inverness.
- Are tee times confirmed or subject to change?
- Tee times are subject to change, all five rounds are guaranteed.
- Will caddies be available, and should we reserve in advance?
- Caddies will be available, Golf Inspired will handle the reservation, you are responsible for payment.
- Are pull carts or golf carts available?
- Brora Golf Club: Golf carts are available on request, but many players use push trolleys; the course is relatively walkable.
- Fortrose & Rosemarkie Golf Club: Mainly walking; push trolleys are available, but motorised carts are limited.
- Royal Dornoch Golf Club – Championship Course & Struie Course: Walking only; caddies are available for hire if preferred, but motorised carts are not permitted.
- Castle Stuart Links (Cabot Highlands): Golf carts available and commonly used, though walking is an option for those who prefer it.
- Can we ship clubs or rent them locally?
- Clubs are available locally. We recommend using shipticks to ship your clubs.
- What weather should we expect in the Highlands?
- In September, the Scottish Highlands experience mild to cool temperatures, with average daytime highs around 61° and lows dipping to 48°. Expect highly variable weather, including rain and wind
- What should I pack for golf
- A quality rain suit, pants and jacket is a MUST! Zero Restriction and FootJoy are quality brands. If you do not own such apparel, it is expensive and note, you get what you pay for. So purchase wisely as you’ll be thankful you have it if you get a good lashing!
- Rain gloves – a must when playing in the rain. They come in pairs and for good reason. A wet hand on a wet grip will only result in tears as your ball, and maybe your club too, will undoubtedly end up in the fescue.
- A good ski hat – yes, not what you typically think of for golf but because most courses are on the ocean, the water temps are still only in the upper 50’s to 60 degrees. Combine these factors with some wind blowing onshore and then throw in some rain and it is a recipe for being miserable. A nice warm hat that can cover your ears could be your best friend.
- A proper golf umbrella – a must as normal summer weather means intermittent showers that come and go throughout a 4 hour round. You can generally see what is coming so instead of changing in and out of rain gear, you can use a good sturdy wind-resistant umbrella to shelter you until the shower passes.
- Are group dinners included or on our own?
- There is an included group dinner at the Dornoch Club House, you are on your own for the rest.
- Do we need reservations for restaurants?
- Golf Inspired Representatives can arrange dining reservations.
- Are gratuities included for drivers, caddies, and guides?
- No, In the Scottish Highlands, tipping is appreciated but not mandatory, generally following a 10% standard for services. Golf caddies expect £20–£30 over their base fee per round, while private guides/drivers often receive 10% per day or £50–£100 daily. Taxi drivers appreciate rounding up, or a 10% tip for longer trips.

- Yes, upon checkout for your package, our travel insurance partner.
- What is the cancellation policy?
At time of booking, a 40% deposit is required. If cancellation is made prior to final balance payment, 75% of deposits paid to date are non-refundable.
Final Balance due 100 days prior to travel.
Once all funds have been collected in full, no refunds will be given.
