Canada
Canada may be famous for hockey, but its golf is not to be forgotten! In addition to exquisite golf on the southern border, Canada is also home to spectacular sightseeing, delicious dining, and amazing adventures! When it comes to North American golf, it doesn’t get more “north” or charming than the expansive Canada.

Canadian golf is not limited to one end of the massive country. From the Pacific Coast to the shores of Nova Scotia, superb courses are ready to be visited. Cabot Cliffs in the aforementioned eastern province of Nova Scotia was ranked #1 in Canada by Golf Digest, and is known for its spectacular views. From ocean cliffs and bits of green Scottish Highlands, this course is a must-see. Also not to be missed is National Golf Club of Canada and St. George’s Golf & Country Club, both in Ontario, which are known for their pristine bunkering. On the west coast, Capilano Golf & Country Club in West Vancouver transports guests to a traditional golf setting, while Jasper Park Lodge Golf Club in Alberta is dotted with bustling trees and views of the mountains. While the winters are cold, Canadian summers are quite mild, rarely reaching above 80 degrees, making it the perfect weather to golf. No matter the coast, Canadian golf delivers on all fronts.

Canada’s cities are unique in the sense that most of them are located within 100 miles of the United States border. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t much to explore! In Canada’s French province of Quebec, discover Quebec City, where francophone culture and cuisine are prominent. No need to travel all the way to Europe to get a French experience! The capital city of Ottawa is also a must-see, with a variety of themed tours, river cruises, and museums to explore. On the west coast, Vancouver, known as “Hollywood North” for its vibrant entertainment industry, garden and mountain tours are available to experience the Canadian Rockies. What isn’t there to see in Canada’s cities?

Canadian views simply can’t be beat. A diverse country in its landscape, truly anything can be seen. From ocean views on both coasts, to mountain views in the west, you won’t have to go far to find something new. Central Canada features majestic prairies and parklands, while the Great Lakes region is prominent in southern Ontario. On both coasts, there are serene rivers and valleys to experience, while the north is famous for its snowy and arctic sights. Throughout the country, there are breathtaking national parks, most famously, Banff National Park in Alberta. There isn’t much you won’t find when it comes to Canadian landscapes.

Like much of the country, Canadian cuisine is unique and diverse. Restaurants like Alo in Toronto is a haven for French cuisine enthusiasts, while La Buche in Quebec features traditional Quebecois dishes. Vancouver is a city known for seafood, and Tojo’s is regarded as the best for that cuisine in the city. Also in Vancouver is Phnom Penh, a local legend serving Cambodian and Vietnamese food. The Green Door Restaurant and Bakery is Ottawa’s oldest vegetarian restaurant, also serving vegan and gluten-free options, making for a truly inclusive experience. Eight in Calgary and Edna in Halifax are known for their authentic Canadian cuisine made with local ingredients.

A country full of diversity in all aspects, Canada is a hidden gem in the vacation world. It is the perfect bucket-list destination thanks to its vibrant cities, stunning landscapes, expansive culinary scene, and of course, the immaculate golf. Golf enthusiasts will marvel at the incredible beauty of Canada.
