A Competitive Field
The final stage of the Qualifying School was no easy feat, featuring a competitive field of 200 players. To make matters more intense, only the top 140 players advanced after the first 36 holes, later narrowing the remaining competition to just the top 70 players. Regrettably, other Singaporean golfers, Nicklaus Chiam and Koh Dengshan, didn’t make the second cut, highlighting the tough nature of the tournament.
Celebrating a New Beginning
After a brief wait post-round, Foo’s qualification status was confirmed, marking this outing as his first successful attempt to earn an Asian Tour card. Previously, he had secured only a 69th place finish during the 2023 Q-School, making this moment even more meaningful.
Looking Ahead
With his card in hand, Foo aims to not just retain his Tour status for 2026 but also aspires to win his first international professional event. He will be joining fellow Singaporean golfer James Leow on the Asian Tour, who secured his card in November after an impressive victory at the Aramco Invitational Tournament.
